Much Ado About Nothing | 3 to 8 February

Brussels Shakespeare Society is proud to bring to the stage Much Ado About Nothing in February 2020, directed by Marianne Farrar-Hockley. Don’t miss this classic!

Don Pedro of Aragon and his fellow legitimate businessmen are coming to stay at his old friend Leonato’s house – full of unwed women, including Leonato’s daughter Hero. There’s bound to be music, and moonlight, and song and romance…. featuring one of Shakespeare’s most popular warring couples, Benedict and Beatrice, and soppiest sweethearts, Claudio and Hero, and villainous of villains, Don John. Meanwhile, the hilarious incompetence of village police Dogberry and Verges keeps everyone in suspense right until the very end.

Set in 1920s Sicily, this comedy about misunderstandings, love and deception will send you home with your ribs tickled, and your hearts baked in the Sicilian sunshine!

Performances will run from 3 to 8 February at 8pm with a 2pm matinée on Saturday 8 February, at Espace Theatrale Scarabaeus (19-27 Rue Creuse, 1030 Brussels).

Tickets are EUR 18 (adults), EUR 16 (groups and concessions) and EUR 12 for schools.
